Exhibition by the Department of English on the occasion of sesquicentennial celebration

LITERARY MAGNATES OF THE INSTITUION REPORTOn the occasion of Sesquicentennial celebration  a grand exhibition on a large scale was organised on 5-7 the March 2020. But got extended for a couple of days more due to heavy rush of visitors. The students and teachers from various institution in and around Mangalore visited the exhibition. A large crowd of public too were viewers. Everyone who visited the exhibition had a lot of appreciation and applause for the attempt. Department of English had chosen the theme of “ Literary magnates of the institution”. The major writers of recognition who studied in the college and also those who served in the institution were introduced in the exhibition. Some of the writers who were presented in the exhibition were: G.K. Chettur, Panje Mangesh Rao, Dr.Shivarama Karantha, Manjeshwara Govinda Pai, V,M, Inamdar, Dr.Nagaveni, Bhuvaneshwari Hegde, D.K. Chowta , Krishna Rayan, Aravinda Malagatti etc. The exhibition included interview with the writers, display of their literary works, novels and poems presented in the form of models and charts, audio clips of their voice, quiz etc. The students presented the whole exhibition with the guidance of the Department of English
