WORKSHOP ON TRANSLATION THEORY AND PRACTICE FEBRUARY 2019

 A workshop titled TRANSLATION: THEORY AND PRACTICE was conducted under CPE of UGC by the Department of English , University College Mangalore on 11 February 2019.  Dr. Parvathy G Aithal was the Resource Person. Mrs. Lynsha Irene Lobo was the coordinator of the workshop.The workshop had three sessions in addition to Inaugural and the Valedictory sessions. The primary objective of the workshop was to initiate students into the art of translation and to familiarize themselves with the theories that they could fall back on while practicing translation.

There were fifty participants, During the sessions the Resource Person engaged the students in theory and practice of translation. By the end of the workshop it was observed that the students had developed a keen interest in translation. And they were keen on going through more rigorous workshops that would follow in course of time.
